It was only on the day that we departed that I decided to go to Les Auberts from 29 April to 6 May 2016. We were not sure where to go for a week, somewhere close and with good routes. I wanted to climb 8c J’accumoncelle la fatigue. And I did it.
Belgium Senior Lead Championship
This year’s Belgium Senior Lead Championship on April 16 in Entre-Ciel-et-Terre was a success for me. I topped both qualifications and finished second after Anak Verhoeven.
Good but Sad
My drawing of a broken heart on fb totally confused Zizi Chalkdust. Too anxious to hear my explanation, my friend the fly from the Edinburgh Climbing Arena flew all the way from Scotland across the North Sea to come and see me. He was too worried to just fly around doing nothing.

Gisteren thuisgekomen van een weekje klimmen in Saint-Léger. Mooi weer en leuke vrienden. Dit was een weekje welverdiende rust (en toch stevige training voor Celine) na de hele zomer lang alle vrije tijd in de organisatie van de wereldbeker te hebben gestopt.
First Boulder Cup in City Lizard
After my competition break this summer, I am back in the game and start with the boulder competitions to build up some bravery to compete. To learn to lose and win. I might have or might not have been nervous. It’s hard to tell when it’s all over.
I Smashed the Dyno World Record
Encouraged by Nils and without any preparation, except for practicing some dynamic moves on the boulder at which I am not so good, I decided to give the dyno competition a shot.

Although my climbing level had gone up quite substantially the past few months, I was still not sure about competing or not in the lead climbing world cup at my home club in Puurs on 26 and 27 September 2015.
Anak in Gold
After many years of painstakingly hard work and several titles of vice world champion, my friend Anak Verhoeven gloriously rounded off her youth years with the much-coveted gold medal at the youth climbing world championships in Arco from 28 August to 6 September 2015 in the discipline of lead climbing. My family cut and pasted a special poster to celebrate the world champion.
